Hold it Down Type: Progressive Dance Size (Kb): 475.208 Duration: 4:49 (End.) Copyright, September, 1995. The demo group (Dracon) I was working for when I wrote this track heard about a demo party in another state, and being ambitious people, they decided they were going to go there and enter a demo. A friend of mine lived in the city we were going to, so it was a good excuse for a holiday. I decided to write a piece to enter in the music competition that was also being run. After four or five different failed funk and blues tunes that I attempted (it's just not where my strength's lie, unfortunately), I ended up putting this track together at the last moment. I actually like it quite a lot, so I hope you do, too. I collected the sounds and the samples for this one from quite a few different sources, including Yello, Legend B, The O.T. Quartet, JX, Jam & Spoon, my own personal sample collection and a couple of other peoples' mods. Incidentally, since I started the story about the demo party, I'll finish it. The group never finished the demo on time, so we never entered a demo in the competition. I missed the music comp because I went out with my friend and didn't make it back in time. Our graphics artist left his picture at home, so he couldn't enter the graphics comp, and everythig else failed, too. But I had a great holiday. :)
